Welcome to JFK Physical Education Page!!!
Hello JFK! Welcome back to the 2020-2021 school year!
John F. Kennedy Catholic School
The Mileage Challenge that was started last spring during remote learning will continue this year. We will be adding up all of our miles as a school community by walking, running, hiking, biking, etc. The only requirement is miles have to be self-propelled so motorcycle and car rides will not count for this challenge. You may turn in your mileage daily, weekly, or monthly whatever is easier for you as a family. This can be done by filling out the google form found on my webpage, email, post-it note, or a piece of paper. Whatever is easier to get to me. The activities that are completed in the physical activity calendars can count towards miles turned in. All family members are invited to participate. We started off in Davenport, IA, and started moving around the United States. We are currently on our 9th destination which is Albuquerque, New Mexico. Currently, we are 563 miles away! I will update our map weekly on my web page so you can see our progress. Once we hit an interesting landmark or city I will send a virtual tour that you and your family can watch! The more people in your family that complete the miles with you equals more miles towards our challenge. If you are not 100% sure about what your exact distance you completed that is ok, just use your best guess. Keep up the great work! I am excited to do this challenge with you!
Our 9th Stop is Albuquerque, New Mexico!

Welcome to JFK! I am Mrs. Sara Tilkens. I joined JFK in 2009 after graduating from St. Ambrose University with a BA in K-12 Physical education, a minor in K-12 health, and a K-12 coaching endorsement. I am currently enrolled at Morningside University and working towards my master’s degree. My husband of 8 years now, Ryan, and I have 3 children, Aaron 7, CJ, 2, and Savannah 1. While taking care of my kids I also enjoy keeping myself busy playing volleyball year-round. As a family, we enjoy being outdoors, going for walks, and just spending family time together!!
