“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
Small Faith Community
“We must consider how to rouse one another to love and good works. We should not stay away from our assembly, as is the custom of some, but encourage one another, and this all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
Have you been looking for a community in which to grow as a disciple of Jesus?
Do you wonder how to navigate the landscape of adulthood and parish life?
Do you want to learn more about your faith, or find the answers to life’s big questions?
During this time of church closings and radical social distancing, we haven’t given up on growing closer to God! Emerging adults from Our Lady of Victory and neighboring parishes still meet once a week for Bible study on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm. Not a Bible scholar? Not a problem! We are all here trying to learn and build a community of discipleship together. It’s not about having all the answers, it’s about being open to God’s Word in our lives.

Theology on Tap
“You make the grass grow for the cattle and plants for people’s work to bring forth food from the earth, wine to gladden their hearts, oil to make their faces shine, and bread to sustain the human heart.”
Theology on Tap Home Brews
Our upcoming Theology on Tap will feature Fr. Scott Foley, who will be leading us on a virtual pilgrimage to Rome. We’ll have a BYO picnic at OLV before from about 7-8pm, and start the pilgrimage once it gets dark at about 8pm.

Young Adult Christians Hanging Together
“Iron is sharpened by iron; one person sharpens another.”
YACHT offers faith formation opportunities to emerging adults who want to go deeper into their faith, utilizing cutting edge resources from Formed.org and other resources of the New Evangelization.
Starting with parishes in Bettendorf and expanding across the Quad Cities, YACHT is a community focused group of engaged disciples who are striving to make friends, have fun, and grow closer to God together.
Join YACHT for a variety of social outings, good times, and adventures! From visits to Helium and Snow-Star, bar crawls, and a summer trip to Six Flags, we’ve got what you need for good times with good people.
Let’s face it, today’s emerging adults have a difficult road ahead of them. From the transition to independent life in college, navigating how to get out on one’s own after college, job searching and interviewing, and discovering the answers to the important questions of purpose, meaning, and identity in life – all of these occur in the process of emergence into adulthood.
As a parish we are currently assessing how we can better serve the needs of and welcome emerging adults to Our Lady of Victory. We invite you to join us for worship, for community, and for discipleship based events happening at the parish and diocesan level, about some of which you’ll find more information below.
You’re not alone in trying to find your way, and there are lots of ways to get involved, make friends, and grow closer to God at the same time! Don’t see what you’re looking for yet? We are open to new ideas and would love to hear from you! Wondering how to get involved? Use the contact forms, or call the parish offices!
