Parish Appreciation Party

Parish Council will be hosting the Parish Appreciation Party in the OLV Parish Center Saturday January 20th.   Doors open at 5:30 PM with food (hors d’ oeuvres, beverages and dessert) served at 6 PM.  There is no cost to attend.  More details below.

The Parish Council will be hosting the annual Appreciation Party to express our thanks to all who perform service for our faith community.  Substantial amount of food will be served so please come hungry!  If you are one of the many adult parishioners who generously gives time, talent or treasure in any capacity to OLV/JFK, you are cordially invited to attend.  Everyone who serves on a committee or helps with committee work; performs a liturgical role; helps with faith formation, youth ministry or adult learning; donates food; supports our outreach ministries to the poor, homeless and disadvantaged; sings; prays;  or you are one of the many new families that have just joined OLV in 2017 …. you should plan to attend.  Please call the parish office at 391-4245 to RSVP.

Christian Experience Weekends  ** Women’s Weekend, February 2-4, 2018  ** Men’s Weekend, February 16-18, 2018

The purpose of the Christian Experience Weekend is to strengthen and enrich your relationship with God.  A special time and place, away from the busy routine of daily living, is provided where a true Christian community will develop in a variety of ways.  The 48-hour experience will inspire, instruct, and enrich your faith life.  It includes talks followed by discussions, prayer services, special Masses, fellowship and good food.  The weekend is conducted by a team of lay people and two spiritual directors.

The weekend will be held at Our Lady of Victory church and JFK school.  Attendance is limited by the facility.  Fee of $35 covers materials and all meals,  A registration form must be filled out and returned in advance of the weekend.  For more information about the upcoming weekends, please contact Charlie Jones (563)940-9350 or Hollie Matthys (563)343-1910
