Welcome to First Grade! This is a very special year in your child’s school career. First grade is naturally a time of tremendous academic, social and emotional growth. It is a time when children’s curiosity about the world around them flourishes.
Academics
During the second semester, the first graders will learn the long vowel sounds and study the weather and land forms. Your child will learn how to read, write sentences, add, and so much more.
