For Junior High Youth

“Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ To whomever I send you, you shall go; […] Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you”

Jer 1:7,8.

What’s happening for Middle Schoolers?

Friday Adventure Nights

Join us on the first Friday of every month for our Friday Adventure Nights!  These are nights of fun centered around discipleship and the life issues and struggles of middle school students.

Confirmation Prep

Think Confirmation preparation is about sitting in a classroom listening to a teacher?  Think again!  We want you to prepare to be a life-long disciple of Jesus Christ – and it’s the task of the Holy Spirit to make sure not only that you love God, but that you are empowered to do His Will.  No one is going it alone when the Holy Spirit is in his or her corner!

NET Retreat

Eighth graders are invited to annual retreats hosted by the New Evangelization Team that visits our diocese each year.  This is a chance to get away from religion classes, come together as a community, and grow as disciples together, while enjoying tons of great food, games, and ministry from college age disciples who want to evangelize in our community. It’s also part of our Confirmation preparation for these young disciples who are seeking the Sacrament!

Holy Fire Conference

We’re inviting all 7th grade students and interested parents to the Holy Fire Chicago conference, a mini-NCYC designed for middle school students on October 26th as the kick-off to our Confirmation program this year. While a required retreat for Confirmation, we also are offering it as the school trip for 7th graders at JFK as well. We want to offer this opportunity to light a fire in the hearts of our 7th graders so they start Confirmation preparation focused on discipleship and their relationship with Jesus Christ.
