What is the GALA and why do we need it anyway?
“Because Quality Education is Everybody’s Business”
The GALA is the biggest fundraising event at OLV/JFK. This fundraiser allows our children to achieve success in both academics and extra-curricular activities within our faith community while providing funds to support our staff and facilities. Did you know that the GALA has raised over $200,000 for parish education needs? Programs from all parish education ministries (JFK and Faith Formation) benefit from GALA proceeds. Efforts have been made to insure use of funds in ways that benefit the whole parish, for example: to support renovation of the media center and school restrooms, provide interior electrical and security system updates, assist in the professional growth of teachers at JFK and within the OLV Faith Formation program, and boost staff salaries and benefits. The parishioners and families at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and John F. Kennedy Catholic School have a strong tradition of being closely involved in nurturing and encouraging Catholic education.
What can I expect if I attend the GALA?
For the people who attend this fun evening, there are multiple opportunities to feel the excitement and anticipation of being a winning bidder for any of the silent and/or live auction items. It’s a wonderful chance to enjoy a fun evening out with your fellow OLV/JFK adult family members. You are welcome to invite friends and family that aren’t already part of the OLV/JFK community.
